At No DUI NoCo, our mission is clear: to reduce impaired driving and make northern Colorado roads safer for everyone. But we’re not in this fight alone. Across our region, numerous organizations and community leaders are working tirelessly to tackle road safety from various angles. These initiatives inspire us, and we’re excited to share some of their incredible efforts, highlighting how collaboration can drive impactful change.
Safe Kids Larimer County, a branch of Safe Kids Worldwide, focuses on motor vehicle safety, bicycle safety, and pedestrian safety, among other areas. As part of their initiative to keep children (ages 0-19) safe from preventable, unintentional injuries, SKLC offers free safety tips and checklists to parents, teen driving resources, free car seat installation and use courses, and free virtual classes, videos, and activities for teachers, parents, and youth.
Safe Kids Larimer County is composed of hospitals, healthcare organizations, police, fire, EMS, parent groups, and private individuals committed to preventing childhood injuries, the leading cause of death among children ages 19 and younger.
As a local office of the national MADD organization, MADD Colorado joins No DUI NoCo in our community’s fight against impaired driving. MADD’s mission is to end drugged and drunk driving, support the victims of these violent crimes, and prevent underage drinking.
As part of this mission, MADD Colorado advocates for equitable policy change, offers free education and awareness programs, and serves victims/survivors who in turn serve as leaders in educating the public and policymakers about the realities of drinking and driving, drugged driving, underage drinking, and other drug use.

COLORADO STATE UNIVERSITY RAMRIDE
RamRide CSU offers free sober rides for CSU students on Friday and Saturday nights and is student-led and staffed by student volunteer drivers. In addition to providing affordable transportation for students who don’t feel safe to drive, RamRide also operates the RamRide Food Ops program, delivering food from the Rams Against Hunger Food Pantry to students and staff who cannot visit the food pantry in person.
RamRide also operates RamRide Secure, a partnership with Lyft for students with transportation insecurity offering up to $150 per year that can be used toward Lyft rides or Spin scooter/e-bike rentals. Further, RamRide and Lyft partner to offer students free rides during holidays when drinking is common and RamRide is not operating.
RamRide services are budget and volunteer-dependent, and staffing has been difficult since the pandemic. To donate or inquire about volunteering, contact ramride@colostate.edu.

CITY OF FORT COLLINS SAFE CHOICE PARKING PROGRAM
The Safe Choice overnight parking program is a crucial component of Fort Collins’ comprehensive approach to promoting responsible and safe behavior among residents. Managed by the city’s Parking Services, this initiative allows individuals to park their vehicles overnight for free without fear of being fined or ticketed.
To utilize the Safe Choice program, leave your car where it is and enter your information and license plate number into this form, OR call Parking Services at 970-221-6617, ext. 0 by 10 a.m. the following day with your license plate number and where your car is parked. You may also leave a voicemail after the office closes at 5 p.m. Plan to pick up your vehicle by noon the following day; if you need additional time, simply call Parking Services to request an extension.

Tough as a Mother is a Colorado-based campaign providing support to mothers struggling with addiction. Tough as a Mother advertises inspirational messages to struggling mothers, connects mothers with and prepares them for treatment programs, offers resources to providers, and connects moms with other community resources like transportation, childcare, therapy, withdrawal management, residential assistance, and programs tailored to pregnant mothers, mother/child co-treatment, and Spanish-speaking services.

AIMS COMMUNITY COLLEGE – ARTY’S RECOVERY CONNECTION
Arty’s Recovery Connection, operated by the Student Life department, is a recurring event hosted by students for students – bringing together those in addiction recovery for judgment-free conversation, games, activities, and food. Students can attend as little or as often as they want, and sessions are offered biweekly.
At No DUI NoCo, we believe that collective action creates lasting change. Here’s how you can get involved:
